Bobby Reid, born and brought up in Lanarkshire, graduated with an Honours Law degree from Glasgow University.
He has a background in personal injury law representing clients in both the Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and the Court of Session. He has practiced in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has also represented clients at fatal accident inquiries and health & safety prosecutions.
In early 2013, he qualified as a civil Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience in the Court of Session and the Supreme Court. However, Bobby had a strong desire to practice law in his local community and joined McGovern Reid to concentrate on criminal defence work, road traffic law and Children’s Panel cases. Bobby combines his confident, robust and professional courtroom style, his obvious local knowledge with a friendly and approachable manner to ensure that he achieves the best results possible for the firm’s clients.
Bobby was assumed Partner in the Firm in 2018.
Outside the day to day working environment, he also tutors law graduates on the online Diploma in Legal Practice at Robert Gordon University and tutors pupils at local schools in the School mock Court project.
