Over 30 years experience as Criminal Defence Lawyers

An increasing number of our clients are being charged with a contravention of section 39(1) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.

This is more commonly referred to as stalking. The consequences of this conviction are far-reaching and can have serious consequences for the individual concerned.
To be convicted of the offence of stalking, an accused person must either have intended that the other person would suffer fear or alarm as the result of the course of conduct or ought to have known, in all of the circumstances, that the other person was likely to suffer fear or alarm. A course of conduct means conduct on at least two occasions.
McGovern Reid regularly defend accused persons charged with a contravention of section 39(1) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010. The sooner that you contact us, the sooner that we can help you.
